Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA) set up a stakeholders meeting last July 20, 2011 to present the revised and new draft Regulations made under the Electronic and Postal Communications Act, 2010.
The Draft Electronic and Postal Communications Regulations, 2011 is made up of two group:
1) Revised Draft
Regulations which are the following:
- Quality of service
- Consumer protection
- Licensing
- Interconnection
- Electronic Communications Numbering and Addressing
- Postal
- Radio Communications and Frequency Spectrum
- Tariff
- Access and Facilities
- Electronic Communications Equipment Standards
2) New Draft Regulations as follows:
- Competition
- Accounts Separation
- Computer Emergency Response Team
- Mobile Number Portability
- Central Equipment Identification Register
- Digital and other Broadcasting Networks
